California Wine Country

I’m a Midwesterner, and my wife is from Spain. While living in Southern California was nice, we both longed for the natural beauty we knew as children. In SoCal, everything east of the ocean is man-made. When you want to get back to nature you have to drive about an hour, and then it’s a tourist trap when you arrive. A friend suggested we check out California’s wine country, and sure enough, it was exactly the slice of sanity we were looking for.

My bride is pursuing her culinary career and I get to write, do some freelance marketing, and develop systems for hospitals and homeowners associations (and any other ideas GOD gives us). Together, we’re living a life we’d never dreamed possible. Sure, it has its issues… however, we wouldn’t trade it (or each other) for the world.
